WHAT IS ALL WEATHER WICKER?
All Weather Wicker is woven from a synthetic material well suited to our outdoor Australian lifestyle. A UV inhibitor is baked into the wicker fibre during the manufacturing process. A 3-year warranty is provided for the All Weather Wicker furniture for peeling, cracking and fading.
IS ALL WEATHER WICKER SUITABLE FOR YEAR-ROUND OUTDOOR USE?
Yes. All Weather Wicker has been designed to be in temperature differences ranging from -70oC to 80oC. The frame is made from aluminium so it will not rust or corrode.
COULD I FIND CHEAPER ELSEWHERE?
There are cheaper alternatives but they do not have the UV inhibitor baked into the wicker, which means if they are exposed to sunlight they will break down.
WILL THE COLOUR FADE?
No. All Weather Wicker fibre won’t fade, even if it is exposed to weather conditions during summer and winter. It has been proven in tests that All Weather Wicker can withstand UV exposure.
WHAT ABOUT THE FABRIC CUSHIONS?
Sunproof fabrics are UV resistant, water resistant, chlorine resistant and are specifically designed and made for outdoor use. The fabric has a 2-year warranty for colour fastness and water repellency. To prolong the life of the fabric cushions, we recommend storage in dry covered conditions when not in use.
IS ALL WEATHER WICKER SAFE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?
Yes. All Weather Wicker is non-toxic and 100% recyclable.
DOES ALL WEATHER WICKER REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL CLEANING?
No. Simply clean with a wet cloth or hose the frame down. Cushion covers are washable.
CAN I CHOOSE DIFFERENT COLOUR WEAVES AND CUSHIONS FOR THE MODEL I LIKE?

WHAT MATERIALS IS THE ALFRESCO NATURAL FURNITURE MADE FROM?
Kubu, abaca and water hyacinth.
WHAT IS KUBU?
Kubu, from the rattan family, is a very fast growing hard vine. Lengths of kubu are Woven over and around solid wood frames to create our furniture pieces.
WHAT IS ABACA?
Abaca is harvested from hemp palms (banana family) and are twisted and rolled into a strong rope. The abaca rope is then woven over and around solid wood frames to create our furniture pieces.
WHAT IS WATER HYACINTH?
Water hyacinth is harvested from waterways and ponds. Water hyacinth is a fast growing reed that is plaited into long lengths of rope and woven over and around solid wood frames to create our furniture pieces.
CAN YOU LEAVE ALFRESCO NATURAL FURNITURE OUTSIDE?
No. Kubu, abaca and water hyacinth are suitable for indoor and covered alfresco areas.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LEAVE NATURAL FURNITURE OUTSIDE?
The natural furniture and cushions will gradually fade in direct sunlight.
HOW CAN YOU PROLONG THE LIFE OF ALFRESCO NATURAL FURNITURE?
We recommend for extended non-use, that fabric cushions should be stored in an under covered dry area. Alternatively purchase one of our alfresco and outdoor furniture cover.
